Ingredients :
Button Mushrooms : 20-25
For Batter:
Corn Starch/Flour : 1/2 cup
All purpose flour/Maida : 2 cups
Red Chili Powder : 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste : 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder : 1 tsp
Baking Soda : 1 tsp
Water : 1 cup
Salt to taste
To make the sauce:
Ginger garlic paste : 1 tbsp
Green Chilies : 3 slit
Rice Vinegar : 1 tsp
Soy sauce : 2 tsp
Red chili paste : 1 tsp
Sugar : 1 tsp
Salt to taste
To garnish:
Green onions/Scallions : 1 chopped
Method:
Mix all the ingredients and make the batter.
Heat oil for deep frying. Cut the mushrooms in half and dip them in the batter and deep fry the mushrooms.
Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan and add Ginger garlic paste,sauté for 30 seconds and add green chilies. Add the sauces and cook for 2 minutes. Add 1/4 cup of water and cook for another 1 minute. Add the fried mushrooms and toss well to coat.
Take out and garnish with scallions.
Serve hot as an appetizer.
