Cook Time : 45 minutes
Serves : 4-5
Bread (Wheat/White): 8 slices cut into cubes
Butter : 1/4 cup
Salt : 1/2 tsp
Eggs : 2
Sugar : 1/2 cup
Ground Cinnamon : 1 tsp
Ground nutmeg : 1/2 tsp
Vanilla extract : 1.5 tsp
Milk : 2 cups
Take a bowl and crack the eggs and whisk them. Add sugar, vanilla and whisk again. Add milk and whisk well.
Melt butter in a oven proof dish and add the cubed bread, nutmeg and cinnamon powders and toss well to coat.
Pre heat the oven to 350 degree F.
Pour the custard (milk and egg mixture) over the bread and toss well to coat.
Bake for 45 minutes, when you test the pudding, the knife inserted in the middle should come out clean. If it didn't, bake for another 5-10 minutes as oven temps vary.
Serve hot with maple syrup and vanilla ice cream.
