Serves : 3-4
Ingredients:
Fish : 12-14 pieces ( white fleshed fish)
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Red chili powder: 1.5 tsp (Use Kashmiri if possible, that gives you a good color)
Gram flour/ besan : 1/4 cup
Rice flour: 1.5 tbsp
Egg : 1
Ajwain/ vaamu: 1/2 tsp
Corn starch: 2 tbsp
Yogurt : 2 tbsp
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
Vinegar or lemon juice: 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Mix all ingredients together, make sure the masala is coated to all pieces evenly and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Heat oil for deep frying and start dropping the fish pieces one at a time. Cook on medium heat. It should take about 7-8 minutes to get the batch cooked.
Drain the pieces on a paper towel and serve hot with onion and lemon wedges. You can sprinkle some chat masala too.
