Cook Time: 15 minutes
All purpose flour/maida: 2 cups
Yogurt/curd(plain): 2 cups
Baking powder: 2 tsp
Green chilies: 2 chopped finely
Ginger: 1 inch piece chopped finely
Fresh coconut: 2tbsp chopped (optional)
Cumin/ jeera : 2tsp
Salt to taste
Mix all the ingredients and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Heat oil for deep frying and keep the heat on medium and drop the batter slowly. In about 30 seconds to a minute, the Bonda should turn by itself. Fry till they are golden brown.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
