The dish is made with simple ingredients yet it's very flavorful.

Serves : 4
Ingredients:
Onion : 1 sliced
Bajji Mirchi : 2 cut into 1/2" pieces
Tomato: 1 1/2 diced
Mint : 1/2 cup chopped
Coconut shredded - 2 tbsp
Curd/Yogurt : 1 1/2 tbsp
Red chili powder: 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tsp
Biryani masala: 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
For tempering:
Cloves : 5
Green cardamom: 3
Cinnamon: 1" stick
Shahi jeera: 1/2 tsp
Star anise: 1
Mace : 1
Method:
Heat oil in a pan and add mirchi, salt and onions, sauté till they turn translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 minute. Add tomatos and cook until they turn mushy. Add coconut and cook for 2 more minutes. Take them into a blender, let it cool off for 10 minutes and blend into a coarse paste.
Heat 2 tsp of oil in the same pan, add all ingredients listed under for tempering and fry for 1 minute. Add mint and fry for 1 minute. Add the onion paste and add 1/4 cup of water, add chili powder, biryani masala and mix well. Cook for 1 minute and add curd, mix well and turn off the stove.
Garnish with cilantro if you wish.
Serve hot with Pulav or biryani.
