Rice Fritters-Indian Style


If you are looking for a crispy snack or a starter, this is a good one.
Simple yet filling and kids will love the taste of these.
Rice for this recipe needs to be completely cooled off. If you have any left over rice, that works too. 

Preparation Time: 10 minutes 
Cook Time: 4 minutes per batch 
Serves: 4

Ingredients:
Cooked and cooled Rice/Left over rice : 1 cup
Chick peas /Chana :1.5 cups
Onion : 1 large chopped 
Green chilies: 3 small finely chopped 
Ginger: 2" piece finely chopped 
Chili powder: 1/2 tsp 
Cumin coriander powder: 1 tbsp 
Corn starch/flour : 3 tbsp 
Lemon juice: 1 tsp
Curry leaves: 4-5 
Salt to taste 

Method:

Take rice and Chana, add 2 tbsp of water and blend into a coarse paste. 
Add all the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Make your desired shape patties.
Heat oil for deep frying and fry then in batches.
Drain the fritters onto paper towel.
Serve hot with ketchup or hot sauce.
