Majjiga Charu/Majjiga Pulusu - Andhra Dish

Majjiga Charu or some people call it Majjiga Pulusu is an Andhra dish made with tempering over beaten curd. Raw onions adds to the crispyness to the dish.
It goes well with rice or roti.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes 
Cook Time: 5 minutes 
Serves : 3-4

Ingredients:
Beaten Curd : 2 cups
Water : 1/4 cup
Turmeric: 1 tsp 
Onion : 1 thinly sliced 
Salt to taste 

To make a corse paste:
Green chilies: 4
Ginger : 1" piece 
Garlic : 2 cloves
Salt a pinch

For Tempering:
Mustard seeds/Aavalu: 1 tsp 
Jeera/ Cumin: 1/2 tsp 
Urad dal/ Minappappu: 1 tsp 
Methi seeds : 2
Red chili: 1
Curry leaves: 2-3

Coriander leaves/cilantro: 1/4 cup 

Method
Take the beaten curd, add water salt, onion and turmeric and mix well.
Make the chilli paste with the listed ingredients.
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and add all ingredients listed except curry leaves and cilantro. Fry for 1 minute and take the red chili out and fry for another minute until the seeds splatter.
Add the curry leaves, green chili paste and fry for 1 minute. Turn off the stove and add cilantro and fry for couple seconds.
Break the red chili into curd, add the tempering to curd and mix well.
Serve with rice or roti.
