Dahi wala Aloo/ potatoes made with yogurt

Dahi Aloo is a North Indian dish made with simple spices and beaten yogurt/curd. 
The dish goes well with roti, kulcha, naan or poori.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes 
Cook Time: 20 minutes 
Serves : 4

Ingredients:
Potatoes: 4 cut into 1" pieces 
Cumin/ Jeera: 1 teaspoon 
Coriander powder: 3 teaspoons 
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tablespoon 
Turmeric: 1 teaspoon 
Red chili powder: 1 teaspoon 
Garam masala: 1/2 teaspoon 
Yogurt/ curd: 3 tablespoons 
Cilantro/coriander leaves: 6-7 sprigs chopped 
Ginger: 2" piece julienne cut to garnish 

Method:
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, fry for 1 minute. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 30 seconds. Add 1/4 cup of water, mix well and cook for 1 minute.
Add all the spices, mix well and fry for 1 minute. Add potatoes mix well to coat and fry for 3 minutes. Add 1 1/4 cup of water and cook for 10 minutes close lid. Add beaten yogurt, cilantro and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the stove. Garnish with garlic strips.
Serve hot with roti, naan or kulcha.
