Cinnamon sticks

My daughter is a big fan of Pizza Hut Cinnamon Sticks. I wanted to give it a try and get close to it. I used my pizza dough to make the cinnamon sticks and added topping mixed with butter to enhance the flavor. Now, she loves the one I make compared to Pizza Hut.
Hopefully you love the recipe as much as she loves too.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Dough rest time: 1.5 hours
Bake Time : 15 minutes
Serves : 6-7

Ingredients:

To make the dough:
Active Dry yeast: 1 packet or 2 1/4 teaspoons
Sugar: 1 tablespoon
Water : 2 1/4 cups warm water
Oil : 3 tablespoons
All purpose flour: 5 cups
Salt: 1/2 teaspoon

Topping:
Butter : 4 tablespoons melted
Cinnamon: 2 tablespoons
Sugar : 1/3 cup

Icing:
Butter : 4 tablespoons melted
Milk : 1/4 cup
Powdered Sugar: 1 cup
Cinnamon: 1/2 teaspoon

Method:
Mix sugar, yeast and warm water in a very large bowl. Wait for 15 minutes for yeast to ferment.
Add oil, salt and 2 cups of flour and start kneading. Add the rest of the 2 cups and knead well. Take the dough to a working surface and knead well until the dough is elastic and doesn't tear when you pull.
Put the dough back in the bowl, cover with a plastic wrap and store in a warm place for 1.5 hours.
Take the dough out, punch it down and roll it into a rectangle shape to fit into the baking sheet or pan.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Mix the ingredients listed under for topping and spread it all over the dough.
Bake it for 15 minutes.
Mix all ingredients listed under icing and serve the hot cinnamon sticks with icing.

Note: Use a large bowl for the dough to raise. It will triple it's size.
