Potato curry for Poori/Roti

Preparation Time: 10 minutes 
Cook Time: 15 minutes 
Serves: 3-4


Onion : 1 large chopped 
Green Chilies: 2 slit 
Potatoes: 3 medium cut into small pieces (once you peel them off, put them in water to help with discoloration) 
Red chili powder: 1 tsp
Garam masala: 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder: 1/2 tsp 
Salt to taste 
Water : 1.5 cups 
Cumin : 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds/ aavalu: 1/2 tsp
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp 


Heat oil in a pan and add cumin and mustard seeds. Let them splatter and add onions, green chilies and turmeric and fry till the onions turn translucent.

Add the potatoes and all the spices. Cook for 1 minute and add water and close the lid. Cook for 10 minutes. Potatoes should be done by now. If not, cook until done and turn off the heat.

Serve hot with Pooris or roti.
