Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Tomatoe Purée: 4 tbsp ( Boil 2 tomatoes on high heat for 5 minutes. Let it cool and blend)
Water : 4 cups
Jeera/Cumin : 1tsp
Turmeric: 1 tsp
Dry red chilies: 2
Black pepper: 1 tsp
Rasam powder: 1tsp
Salt to taste
For Tempering:
Oil - 1 tsp
Garlic- 2 cloves
Mustard seeds/ aavalu - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - couple
Method:
Take all the ingredients except the ones under for tempering in a vessel and bring it to a boil and turn off the stove.
Heat oil in a pan and add all ingredients under tempering and fry for 2 minutes and add it to the rasam.
This tastes really good with rice or to just drink as soup.
