Cooking Time : 20 Minutes
Serves : 4
Ingredients:
Chicken: 500 gms
Onions: 2 medium chopped
Tomatoe : 1 medium chopped
Green Chili: 2 Slit
Red Chili Powder: 2 tsp
Garam masala: 1.5 tsp
Ginger garlic paste : 1.5 tsp
Salt to taste
Cloves/ laung:4
Cardamom/Elachi : 2
Dalchini/ Cinnamon: 1 inch stick
Method:
Heat a pan and add 3 Tbsp oil. Add Cloves, Cardamom and Cinnamon stick and fry for 1 minute. Add onion and green chili and fry until onion turns transparent. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 30 seconds.
Add tomatoe and fry for 2 minutes and add all the spice powders.
Add chicken and fry for 3 minutes. Close lid and cook for 2 more minutes. Now add 1/2 cup water mix well and cook for another 10 minutes.
(If you are using chicken with bones, the cooking time will increase by 5-10 minutes depending on the age of the chicken.)
Turn off the stove and garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rice, biryani or roti.
