Andhra style mutton chops are spicy, easy to make and very tasty.
The dish can be served as an appetizer or with biryani.

Marinate Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:
For Marinate:
Mutton Chops: 500 gms
Turmeric: 1 teaspoon
Yogurt/ Curd : 3 tablespoons beaten
Salt to taste
Other:
Onion : 2 large sliced
Green chilies: 6 roughly chopped
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
Coriander leaves/cilantro: 1/4 cup chopped
Red chili powder: 2 teaspoons
Garam masala: 1 teaspoon
Water : 1 cup
Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
Method:
Mix all the ingredients listed under marinate and keep the mutton in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Heat oil in a pressure pan, add onions and green chilies, sauté till they turn translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and cilantro, mix well and fry for 1 minute.
Add the marinated mutton. Fry for 5 minutes. Add the chilli powder and garam masala, mix well and fry for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup of water and close lid, put the whistle on and cook for 5 whistles. Simmer and cook for 2 minutes and turn off the stove.
Once all the pressure is gone, open the lid and cook till all liquid is evaporated if you want dry version or serve as is if you want gravy version.
Serve hot with biryani or as an appetizer if it's a dry curry. Squeeze the lemon juice right before serving.
