Quick Bhatura - No Yeast

Bhatura is a deep fried bread looks similar to Puru but much more thicker and bigger in size. It's made out of Maida/All Purpose flour.
This quick Bhatura is the one where the dough doesn't take a long time to rise. So, if you are craving for Bhatura's, you can make them in 30 minutes without leaving the house.
I will post the traditional Bhatura recipe soon which takes the dough to rest 4-5 hours.
Chole is the best combination that goes with Bhatura. Here is the link to that recipe.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Dough Resting Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 2 minutes per Bhatura
Serves: 4-5

Ingredients
Maida/All purpose flour: 3 cups
Curd/Yogurt : 1/4 cup ( room temperature)
Baking Soda: 1/2 teaspoon
Sugar : 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Oil : 2 tablespoons
Warm Milk : 3/4 cup

Method:

Take the flour and make a well in the middle and all ingredients except milk and mix. Add milk slowly and knead into a soft dough, it should be chapati dough consistency.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of oil if needed on the top and rub over the dough if it's too dry.
Let the dough rest in a warm place for 30 minutes covered with a wet cloth.
Take the dough and make the size little bigger than a golf ball.
Roll them into round Bhatura's. 7-8" diameter.
Heat oil for deep frying and fry the Bhatura's on both sides until they are golden brown.
(When you first drop the Bhatura in the oil, gently press it with a spatula so it puffs up really well)
Serve hot with Chole or any other gravy curry.
